Abstract
641,031. Tampon introducers. BOULY, H. G. (International Cellucotton Products, Co.). March 30, 1948, No. 8994. [Class 81(ii)] In a tampon applicator of the type comprising two telescopically arranged tubes, accidental withdrawal of the inner tube is prevented by releasable interlocking means. In the form described, wherein the assembly comprises the outer tube 1, inner tube 2 and absorbent filling 3, tongues 12, 13 are punched out of both tubes so that the outer tongue 12 passes into the hole 14 left by the tongue 13 and prevents the tube 2 being drawn out towards the left white maintening it in contact with the tampon 3. Preferably the tongues are triangular in shape and the outer tube is pierced at 6 to afford a good grip
