[Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv)] [Also in Group X] Uniting by fusion.-A connector fitting for joining intersecting tubes for the manufacture of welded metal frame structures comprises a hollow or solid body with wide arcuate peripheral portion 1 and sides 3 both speroidally curved with non-coincident centres of curvature and a saddle extending between the ends of the peripheral portion. In use, the saddle of the connector is positioned on a tube P and welded and tubes B, B<SP>1</SP> are seated without machining and welded to the peripheral portion. A tube T may be welded to the curved face 3. A vent hole may be provided in the body to facilitate welding.
