[Class 146 (iii)] In a fountain pen a supplementary ink feeding arrangement is constituted by a rigid projection 5 located over the split nib 2 and having a small upward angle a-b with the horizontal part of the nib and thus forming a space 6 in which ink collects so as to ensure a reserve of ink available whenever the nib tends to be drained. Air is supplied to the reservoir through a recess 7 connected to transverse air ducts communicating with the atmosphere.
