Abstract

A machine for the treatment of endless <PICT:0639564/IV (c)/1> webs comprises a liquid container 2, means 11 for uncurling the edges of the web, guide rollers 12, squeeze rollers 13, a container 15 in which the fabric is piled, tensioning rollers 16, and a roller 5 whose position may be adjusted by means of the handle 8 and chain 6 in order to take up slack in the web. When starting up, the web is fed from the roll 23 and the beginning and the end of the web are joined so that the treatment proceeds on the web which passes through the apparatus as an endless web. When the treatment is finished the ends of the web are separated and the web is collected on roll 18. Instead of the container 15 there may be used an endless conveyer belt.
