[Class 78 (i)] A sheet metal belt housing unit for use particularly with the belt conveyer of Specification 586,343 includes longitudinally extending laterally spaced side members 137, 138, an opening 149 in one or both side members and deflecting means 148 adapted to deflect articles from the lower run of the belt through the said opening or openings. The remaining subject-matter is identical with that in Specification 636, 168 which is referred to.
