Abstract

635,941. Insulators. BEST, N. M., and ANTIFERANCE, Ltd. Sept. 27, 1947, No. 26221. [Class 36] [Also in Group XL (c)] A combined insulator and strainer for an aerial' consisting of two parallel wires connected at their ends (see Group XL (c)), is made in two separable parts to enclose a bobbin 27A, Fig. 4, around which the ends of the two wires are secured, and is provided with a hole 30, Figs. 5 and 7, for the straining cable. Each half of the insulator is as shown in plan at Fig. 5 and in section at Fig. 7. The well 31, with the complementary well in the other half of the insulator, serves to enclose the bobbin 27A and the aerial is also gripped in the shallow recesses 34. The recesses 35 receive metal plates bored and tapped so that the insulator can be held together by two screws passing through the holes 32, 33, respectively, one from each side.
