[Class 130] [Also in Group XXX] In an arrangement for feeding cigarettes from a hopper 1 to a packing &c. machine, in which the cigarettes pass by gravity between reciprocating side walls, 4, 5, alternate walls are connected to members 7, 8 to form two combs which oscillate in opposite directions. As shown they are connected to levers 9, 10, which are oscillated about pivots 11, 12, by the rounded ends 15, 16, of a two-armed pivoted lever, but rollers may be interposed. The levers 9, 10, may, however, be pivoted about a common axis.
