Abstract

629,800. Card index tabs. TRIGGS, W. W. (Rockwell-Barnes Co.). Dec. 3, 1947, No. 31891. [Class 16] A sheet for separating groups of cards in a card index is formed as a sheet of transparent plastic material with an integral flat tubular upper edge 12 to receive a tab bearing indicia. A long sheet with a continuous flat tubular upper edge is formed by extrusion, and cut to suitable lengths, and the upper edge is then cut away to leave a tab receiving part of suitable length in the desired position. The sides and ends of the tubular part merge gradually into the body of the sheet and its upper edge respectively. The tubular portion may be in the plane of the sheet, offset wholly to one side, or slightly inclined thereto.
