[Class 40 (iii)] [Also in Group XL (c)] A cathode-ray type distributer generates an amplitude - modulated, multichannel interleaved pulse train which is passed to a transmission line through a circuit having a limited pass-band. At the end of the line, the original pulses are extracted from the complete waveform by a second cathode-ray gating device. In the cathoderay tube 107, the beam is swept past slits 109 and grids 104 ... 106 to produce a pulse train amplitude - modulated by channels 101 ... 103. The output passes via network 112 (see Group XL (c)) and line 113 to the grids of cathode-ray tube 117, where the beam, swept in synchronism with tube 107, produces a train of pulses having the same shape and amplitude as those entering network 112.
