[Class 69 (i)] A coagulating tank is characterized in that the sides, ends and base thereof each comprise a single sheet of hollow-moulded plastic material so that joints exist only along the lines of intersection of the sides, ends and base, the edge of one of the two sheets meeting at each such joint abutting against the surface of the other sheet and receiving between its surface webs a strip of material secured to the said surface, the sheets being secured together by screws or equivalent means inserted from the outer side of the tank, so that the inner surfaces are completely smooth. In the form shown, at each of the joints a strip of material 19, e.g. hardwood, is secured to the surface of the sheet 17 which forms one of the meeting faces of the joint, the said strip 19 fitting and being secured between the surface webs 10 and 11 of the sheet 21, the edge of which forms the other meeting face of the joint. Strips 18 of material, e.g. hardwood, are mounted between the webs of each sheet 17, along the edges at which the surface of the said sheet forms a meeting face of a joint. The end sheets 21 have their lower and side edges engaging the faces of the base 13 and side sheets 17, and the other webs 10 extend over the edges of the said sheets 13 and 17. The ribs 12 are cut short at the edges of all the sheets to allow room for the hardwood strips, the strips 14 being secured in the sheet 13 by means of adhesive. Screws project through the strips 15 and 16 into the strips 14, also through the webs 10 of the walls 17 into the strips 16, through the strips 19 into the strips 18 and through the webs 10 of the sheets 21 into the strips 14 and 18 or into the strips 15 and 19. A drain hole 25 is provided in the base sheet closable by a stopper. The upper edges of the sheets 17 and 21 are capped by strips of material such as 24, e.g. hardwood, secured to their edges, said strips having an upper part of a thickness at least equal to that of the sheets 17 and 21 and a lower portion fitting between the webs 10 and 11. They are secured by an adhesive. Division plates are spaced by downward projections on bars located between supports secured to rim strips at the ends of the tank.
