Abstract

626,404. Pads, squeegees. DENTON, J. M. May 22,1947, No. 13806. [Class 19] [Also in Group XX] A squeegee is made by cementing a resilient pad or pads of water absorbent material while said pad or pads is or are in a water-moist condition, to a rigid base. The pad may be cemented to a single rigid base strip preferably of plastic material. The Fig. shows a photographic squeegee for wiping photographic films after processing and consists of a plastic strip, e.g. of methyl methacrylate or cellulose acetate, bent in the form of a pair of tweezers A. Two resilient pads B made of viscose sponge are water-moistened and a length of plastic cement C is applied to one of the large surfaces of each of the pads which are then applied to the inner end portions of the tweezer arms.
