[Class 52 (ii)] A bed frame has supports 12, 13 at its foot to rest on the floor and is pivotally supported at its head on a frame 23, 24 which carries an extensible strut 26, preferably an hydraulic ram, by which the bed can be tilted to the vertical or any intermediate position, hooks 19, 20, or other means being provided for the attachment of securing means for the occupant.
