625,528. Artificial legs. LARSSON, T. W., and DAHLBACK, S. H. Aug. 7, 1947, No. 21588. Convention date, April 24, 1946. [Class 81(ii)] [Also in Group XXXII] In an artificial leg of the type described in Specification 623,133, a foot member 6 is joined to a shank member 4 by means of a rubber piece 30 which is provided with two metal rings 33, 37, or other anchoring members, to which are attached bolts 34, 38, secured respectively to the shank and foot members. To increase mobility the rubber piece 30 has a horizontal slit 41 provided around the circumference, the slit being deeper and wider at the front and rear than at the sides and having an inner enlarged portion 42 to allow of maximum movement of the foot member.
