Abstract

624,823. Lamps combined with other articles. HINDS, R. P. H. July 10, 1947, No. 18298. [Classes 75(iii) and 75(iv)] [Also in Group XXXII] A rear view mirror for a motor vehicle of the type in which a rear red and a forward white light are combined with the reflecting surface, comprises a mirror 15 supported at the rear of an oval casing 3 which is adjustably secured upon a tubular mounting arm 7 projecting through the side wall of the casing and extending rotatably through a transverse bore in a pivot pin 5 which projects freely through a bush 4 secured to the front wall of the casing 3, the arm 7 being clamped thereon by a nut 6. A tubular lamp 11 is mounted within the casing, the forward face thereof being provided with a transparent panel 14 whilst the mirror 15 is made transparent and coloured red at 15a. Current is supplied to the lamp 11 by an insulated conductor 13 passed through the mounting arm 7. Specification 571,756 is referred to.
