[Class 36] A high-frequency cable has an inner conductor which includes a primary conductor and a secondary conductor, the secondary conductor 2 being applied over a suitable core 1, and the primary conductor 3 consisting of a layer of metallic tapes applied with a long lay and directly in contact with the secondary conductor 2, which short-circuits any resistive contacts between the edges of the tapes of the primary conductor. The secondary conductor 2 may be applied with a short lay or may be a seamless tube. The core 1 may include wires 4 for additional strength. Specification 622,247 is referred to.
