Abstract
621,828. Embryotomy saws. BOTTERI, G. Jan. 9, 1947, No. 748. Convention date, Jan. 9, 1946. [Class 81(ii)] In a wire-saw embryotome in which the wire saw is protected by two flexible sleeves 5 of spirally coiled wire which is releasably and adjustably secured to a guide plate the wire saw 1 is releasably attached to the handles 2 by passing a short length of the end of the wire saw through a hole 2' in the handle and securing it thereto by a nut 3, the free end being accommodated in a groove in the handle, and shielded by a sheath 4 slidable on the handle. In addition the guide plate 7 in its gripping position by a blade 11 which is secured to the guide plate by a screw 13 passing through a slot 9 in the guide plate 7.
