Abstract
620,991. Air-space cables. COMPAGNIE GENERALE D'ELECTRICITE. Feb. 7, 1947, No. 3654. Convention date, April 9, 1946. [Class 36] The spacing elements of a highfrequency co-axial cable comprise a disc 4 provided on each side with cylindrical projections 5, 6, said projections being of different diameters so that the narrow part 6 of one element may nest loosely in the wide part 5 of an adjacent element, said wide part 5 forming a support for the outer conductor 2. The length of the narrow part 6 may be slightly greater than that of the wide part 5 so that an annular space 7 is left between neighbouring elements into which grooves 3 of the outer conductor may fit.
