'[Class 86] A churn comprises a square-section container having a plywood cover 4 on which is mounted a bearing 11 for the shaft 5 of the agitators A, B, C. The shaft is rotated by means of a belt 26 and pulley 16 by a motor 21 mounted over the cover 4 on a bracket 23 rotatable and adjustable on a rod 17 secured to the container. The agitators consist of a flat plate having an upstanding hub from which vanes radiate and are placed, one, A facing downwards near the surface of the milk level, and B, C facing in opposite directions at the bottom, but these spacings may be adjustable.
