Abstract

619,431. Load-handling machines. RILEY, J., and RILEY, C. Dec. 10, 1946, No. 36409. [Class 78 (iii)] An elevator truck has a table M connected by links K, K<1>, levers G... G 3 and links J, J<1> to the base members A, A<1>. Elevation of the table is effected by a hydraulic ram R<1> situated between the base members A, A<1> and operating on the horizontal arm of the U-shaped member F<2>, the vertical arms of which carry the pivots F<3>, F<4> of the crossed levers G, G<1> and G2, G3 respectively. The ram is supplied with fluid by a foot-operated plunger pump secured to the outside of the base member A and a fluid reservoir T is positioned between the base members A, A<1>. The arrangement is such that the ram, pump, foot lever and reservoir are below the table when the latter is in its lowest position. Upward travel of the U-shaped member F2 is limited by the engagement of the projection F with the slotted height stop E<1>.
