Abstract

619,325. Cycle saddles. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd., and STEPHENS, D. L. Dec. 3, 1946, No. 35729. [Class 136 (iii)] A cycle or like saddle comprises a moulded top 1 of rubber or other resilient material connected to a metal frame by bonding. The saddle is supported by springs 4 and 2. The spring 2 carries a curved metal plate 5. A frame member 3 acts as a tensioning means for the top 1 and is provided at the rear with a frame member 7. The moulded top 1 is secured to the plates 5 and 7 by bonding. As shown in Fig. 2, inserts of rubber 8, 9 may be bonded to the top 1 and frame members 5 and 7.
