618,692. Current and voltage measurement. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., and KEITLEY, R. Oct. 11, 1946, No. 30420. [Class 37] The sum or difference of a number of A.C. voltages V1 ... V3 is measured by a D.C. meter M responding to the discharge currents of a number of condensers, charged through half-wave rectifiers BR1 ... 3 from the voltages respectively. The centre-tap of resistances r, r shunting the meter is connected to the common supply point and the outer ends fed with currents corresponding to V1, V2 and to V3 respectively, whereby the meter indicates V1+V2 - V3. Alternatively, the rectifier BR3 may be reversed and the discharge resistances R all connected to one side of a meter in the common supply lead (Fig. 2, not shown).
