[Class 81 (ii)] [Also in Group XXIII] An instrument for preparing a tooth for a jacket crown comprises a support carrying an annular member projecting therefrom and provided with grinding surfaces on its outer, lower and inner faces. In Fig. 2, a cylinder 1, formed with holes 8 to receive water for cooling, is provided with a flange 4 coated on surfaces 5-7 with diamond dust or other abrasive. The cylinder may be of plastic material or metal, or of wire mesh, or it may be replaced by a frame 25, Fig. 12, secured to the abrasive ring. The method of use is described.
