617,719. Seats. FINER, D. H. Oct. 23, 1946, No. 31518. [Class 52 (ii)] In a unit for slidable devices such as seats of the type in which two interengaging slides are secured respectively to the seat and the support such as the floor each slide is of standard construction and may be mounted either on the right or left side and is provided with means for mounting a catch lever which may also be of standard construction and mounted on one or other of a pair of units and operable at the corresponding ends of the units. Figs. 1 and 3 show a seat slide in which the flange 1 is secured to the seat through apertures 4 and is provided with a turned edge 2, 3. Apertures 5 at each end provide alternative means for pivoting a catch lever while a central offset portion 6 provides an anchorage for the catch lever spring. Figs. 6 and 7 show a floor slide the flange 7 being secured to the floor through apertures 8 and a turned edge 10 engageable with the turned edge 2, 3 of the seat-slide. Notches 11 are provided to receive the end of a catch lever. Fig. 9 shows a standard catch lever pivotable about 12 on pivots mounted in an aperture 5. Tangs 16, 17 are provided one of which is adapted to engage one of the notches 11. The catch spring is adapted to be anchored to the offset part 6 and one of the notches 13, 14.
