[Class 65(ii)] A three-part hinge Structure comprising a central plate 1 and a pair of leaf.' plates 2 has bearings, for hinge pins 5, formed along confronting edges of the plates and arranged flush with one common side of their respective plates. A spring element anchored to the central plate urges the leaf plates from a position coplanar with the central plate to a position substantially at right angles thereto. As shown, the spring 9 bridges the central plate, is coiled on both hinge pins, and ends in arms 10 which bear against the leaf plates. The hinge bearings are formed with axially directed steps 11 and 12 engageable to limit the relative angular movement of the plates.
