Drawings to Specification. [Class 56] In the manufacture of glass or other fibres by centrifuging, as in the parent Specification, the formation of a crown of fibres is prevented by causing a jet of compressed fluid which has a component directed into the projection plane to act on the fibres in a limited sector of this plane. Jets slightly convergent and located one above and the other below the plane may be used, and the direction of the jet(s) is opposite to that of rotation of the centrifuging unit.
