Abstract
Artificial stone is manufactured by mixing bodies made from a mixture of slaked lime and sand, with cement mortar. The slaked lime and sand are mixed together, water is added, and the mixture is fed on to a studded reciprocating channel or is forced by cutters through openings in a rotating cage to form pellets of desired size. These are then coated with the cement-sand-water mixture.
