Abstract

614,531. Vehicle lamp mountings. LUCAS, Ltd., J. and NEILL, R. L. July 19, 1946, No. 21626. [Class 75 (iii)] A vehicle lamp unit comprising a reflector a, Fig. 1, electric bulb holder b, and glass front d, is supported by a carrier ring e, having a flange e<1> formed with key-hole or equivalent slots f, Fig. 2, for engaging headed supporting screws m. The latter carry springs n and are secured in sockets I on the flange g<1> of a parabolic mounting g permanently secured to the vehicle. The optical axis of the lamp is set by appropriate adjustment of the screws m. An annular bezel p encloses the flanges e<1>, g<1>, and also an annular dust shield r of rubber or other flexible material. Specification 567,084 is referred to.
