Abstract

612,680. Mudguards. WASDELL, Ltd., WASDELL, E. J., and CHATWIN, G. F. May 30, 1946, No. 16441. [Class 136 (i)] In a front mudguard 1 of the kind in which a forward extension 2 adapted to project beyond the fork head is of spear shape, the edges of the extension 2 are enclosed by a protective edging strip 5. This strip is rolled, pressed or snap engaged with the edges of the mudguard, the terminations being united with the beaded edges of the mudguard. The protective strip is of U-shaped cross-section and is shaped into a conforming spear outline and may be slidably engaged with the edges of the extension and then secured in position.
