Abstract

611,558. Telephone sets. NEWTON, E. P. (Telefonaktiebolaget L. M. Ericsson). May 1, 1946, No. 13198. [Class 40 (iv)] In a telephone set of the type in which the dial, receiver and transmitter are supported within the body of the instrument which also comprises a handle by which the set is lifted, the receiver and transmitter are attached to the base-plate, and a casing removably applied over the base-plate constitutes a handle, ear-piece and mouth-piece, sound passages connecting the ear-piece and mouthpiece with the receiver and transmitter respectively. As shown in Fig. 3, the transmitter 8 is supported by the spring 9 attached to the base-plate 7 behind the openings 5, while the receiver 10 is similarly supported by the spring 11 in line with the sound passage 6 leading to the ear-piece 3, the walls of which constitute the handle. The dial 14 and switch pushbutton 12 are mounted below the base-plate.
