611,445. Ships framing. ISHERWOOD & CO., Ltd., Sir J. W., ISHERWOOD, Sir W., and BURGESS, N. H. April 29, 1946, No. 12913. [Class 113 (ii)] The framing of the wing tanks of oilers is arranged so as to reduce the horizontal surfaces on which dirty oil can collect. The vertical frames 1, 4 are fitted with plate stiffeners 2, 3, these being braced by diagonally placed struts 6, 12, 9, 13. The reinforcing plates may be unloaded to the floors or to the tank bottom.
