609,361. Building units. CLEATOR, S. M., and PIPPARD, W. R. M. March 12, 1946. No. 7677. [Classes 20 (iv) and 87(i)] A wall cladding unit of upwardly-tapering section is provided with hanging means, a rebate 9 to engage with a lower unit and rearwardly extending flanges 10 which are received in U- section vertical gutter members of a supporting framework. The hanging means comprises a rib or lugs 12 undercut at 16, or recesses in the flanges 10. A retaining rib or lugs 13 recessed at 15 may be provided to engage over a lower unit to prevent outward movement of the upper unit. In a corner unit, one flange 10 is provided on a short extension at 45 degrees to the body of the unit. Base members 8 having outwardly directed portions 24 and upstanding lugs 25 to engage the lugs 13 are also provided.
