Abstract
608,911. Anchor nuts. ROBERTSON, E. R. March 2, 1946, No. 6550. [Class 89 (i)] An anchor nut structure comprises a channel member 10 with holes in the web 11 to receive, with float, nuts 22, such as those described in Specification 557,351. The channel has side flanges 13 secured by eyelets to a closure and attachment strip 30 that confines the flanged bases of the nuts and prevents removal. The structure is attached to the part to be bolted, by rivets passing through the holes in the eyelets. The strip 30 may be welded, brazed, or otherwise attached to the member 10 and may be replaced by a channel bar the flanges of which are closed down tightly over the flanges 13. Specification 523,194 is referred to in connection with prior art.
