608,537. High - frequency electrodes. BRITISH UNITED SHOE MACHINERY CO., Ltd., and LEAHY, J. F. Feb. 26, 1946, Nos. 5970 and 5971. Convention dates Feb. 28, 1945, and June 4, 1945. [Class 39(iii)] An electrode construction for highfrequency electrostatic fields has the conductor partly surrounded by an insulating support, and a cover for one conductor face having a substantially higher dielectric constant than that of the material of the support. In a preferred example, a rubber pad 10 contains rectangular conductors 18, 20 connected to opposite sides of a highfrequency supply, the conductors being covered by a vulcanized rubber compound 24 of materials detailed in the Specification. Specifications 446,660, [Group VI], 513,521, [Group IV] and 540,494 are referred to.
