Abstract
608,433. Cabinets; garment hangers. WILKINSON, A. Feb. 23, 1946, No. 5673. [Classes 52(i) and 52(v)] A wardrobe, cabinet, &c. comprises a rear wall, end walls pivoted to the rear wall and a panel or door secured to each end wall at right angles to form, in the closed position, a closure for the front of the wardrobe and, in'the open position, an end wall. As shown in plan view the rear wall 9 has hinged thereto end walls 11, 12 to which are secured panels 14, 15 forming a closure for the wardrobe in the closed position. The hinged end walls may be provided with floor and roof portions and are fitted with curved guide rails 29 to which are slidably attached a telescopic garment rail which is extended when the wardrobe is in its open position. The garment rail may comprise a central portion 24, Figs. 1 and 4, which may be supported by a bracket 21a from the roof or rear wall, and slidable portions 28, 38 the connections to the guide rails 29 comprising a swivel member 31 having rollers 34 the swivel members being pivoted to U- shaped members 32 pivoted to the telescopic rail. In cases of long wardrobes the panels 14, 15 may have hinged thereto additional closures.
