Abstract

A composition of 100 parts of polystyrene and 70-175 parts of one or more compatible plasticizers is used to coat regenerated cellulose to give a pressure-sensitive tape or sheet. Plasticizers specified are tri-cresyl phosphate, dibutyl phthalate, and poly a -methyl styrene. The polystyrene and plasticizer may be dissolved in a solvent such as benzene, esters, alcohols, chlorinated hydrocarbons or cyclo-compounds and then applied to the film. Resins, fillers, pigments or dyestuffs may be added to the composition.
