Abstract

607,216. Auxiliary bobbin support. LAMBACH, F. Sept. 7, 1945, No. 23079. Convention date, Oct. 16, 1944. [Class 120(ii)] An auxiliary bobbin support for enabling conical tubes 90 of various shapes to be mounted on a creel shank furnished with bowed springs 22 for holding cylindrical bobbin tubes, comprises a compressible cage 46 of resilient wires 70, 72 carried by a head 42 and a base 44. The apertured base 44 is passed over the bowed springs 22 of the shank and the set screw 54 tightened to retain the apertured head 42 on the shank. The wires 70, 72 at their ends 76 are permitted a degree of freedom in the base member 44 to allow the cage to conform to the conicity of the tube 90.
