Abstract
605,834. Making electric incandescent lamps. LUMALAMPAN AKTIEBOLAG. Jan. 7, 1946, No. 536. Convention date, April 14, 1945. [Class 39(ii)] [Also in Group XL(a)] In an electric incandescent lamp, discharge tube, or other apparatus having a body such as a filament 3, electrode, or the like, supported by a pair of lead-in wires within an envelope 4, the lead-in wires 2, 5 provide mutual support without the provision of a glass stem, by pinching or clamping upon them the ends 1, 6 of a metal bridge 7 which is either coated with an insulating oxide or has an intermediate insulating layer interposed at the parts in contact with the lead-in wires. Alternatively the parts of the latter may be provided with insulation. The bridge may consist of oxidised aluminium, or other metal with an enamel or glass coating. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes the provision of intermediate filament - supporting wires which are mounted by pinching them in the metal strip in the same way as the lead-in wires. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
