[Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv)] [Also in Group II] Bending-dies.-A device for forming and hardening leaf-springs comprises an upper member b with adjustable projections bl and a lower member c with adjustable projections cl. The members b, c are mounted on uprights d and are supported on springs d<SP>1</SP>, d<SP>2</SP> and located over an oil tank. Actuation of a lever e lowers the member b to shape the heat-treated workpiece a. Further depression of the lever compresses the springs d<SP>2</SP> to lower the spring into the oil in the tank to effect hardening.
