603,337. Contacting gases with liquids. PHILLIPS, F. J. H. Dec. 3, 1945, No. 32591. Addition to 523,714. [Class 55(ii)] In modification of the apparatus of the parent Specification the gas is introduced below the venturi through two opposed nozzles 1 and 2, Fig. 1, and the tank provided for the collection of solid impurities takes the form of a sewage farm or a series of tanks which may have filter bars and means such as an elevator for removing settled solid impurities. In further modification the apparatus may be connected to any desired pipe-system which has connections for vacuum cleaning attachments which are provided with nozzles having a small orifice or projecting teeth for disturbing the dust. Specifications 205,937, [Class 29], and 523,713, [Group XIII], are referred to.
