Abstract

602,771. Levelling staves. MALTHOUSE, E. G. Oct. 30, 1945, No. 28688. [Class 97 (ii)] Also in Group X] A telescopic sighting stave described particularly with reference to the levelling of disc-like distance pieces 12 upon which prefabricated building blocks are lowered (see Group X) has an adjustable datum-line 28 and, to keep it vertical, a roller 39 bearing against the side of the building. The stave may rest on the distance pieces through a rod 20. This rod is vertically adjustable in a slide 33A which is, in turn, horizontally adjustable on a pair of silver-steel rods 34 fixed to the stave. The stave may rest directly on the distance pieces by means of a short extension 40.
