Abstract

602,544. Casting composite articles moulds. PLASCO, Ltd. (Crown Fastener Corporation). Oct. 16, 1945, No. 27108. [Class 83 (i)] [Also in Group V] In forming die castings by injecting metal into a cavity partly undercut relative to the parting face 14<SP>1</SP>, ejecting the casting 14 by moving the dies 23, 24, one away from the other at different times or rates or at different angles to the parting face 14<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 8. The casting must not have any extensions which would prevent movement in the direction desired. In casting fastening elements of a sliding clasp fastener on to a tape 12, this is held during ejection and then fed, to bring the next section into position for casting, by grippers 34, Fig. 7.
