601,818. Refrigerating. FARRER, J. O. (Carrier Corporation). Sept. 26, 1945, No. 25006. [Class 29] Means for defrosting refrigerant coils 6 comprises a number of tubes 14 apertured along the tops to provide discharge outlets for water, supplied under pressure, which impinges against the under surfaces of channel shaped members 12 and drops from the side walls thereof on to the refrigerant coils 6 arranged in vertical alignment beneath the walls of the channel members 12. The system of water tubes 14, has a closed end and is provided with additional apertures on the underside of the tubes in order to effect drainage after the water supply has been shut off.
