Abstract

600,684. Switching systems. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., BRAY, F. H., and RIDLER, D. S. Sept. 27, 1945, No. 25081. [Class 38 (iv)] To reduce the effects of ambient temperature changes upon the working of a thermistor trigger circuit comprising a thermistor R3 in series with a linear resistor R1, the thermistor is shunted either by a linear resistor R2, Fig. 2, or by a linear resistor R5 in series with another thermistor R2, Fig. 4, The circuit may be triggered by opening and subsequently closing the shunt, or by increasing the voltage applied across the thermistor or whole circuit. Initial conditions are restored by short circuiting or disconnecting the thermistor. Specification 557,707 is referred to.
