600,343. Endless tracks for vehicles. FOOD MACHINERY CORPORATION. Nov. 21, 1945, No. 31298. Convention date, Jan. 8, 1942. [Class 79 (i)] [Also in Group XXXIII] An endless track for an amphibian vehicle comprises an endless belt having groundcontacting tread members and a series of rubber impeller blades bonded to vertical metal reinforcing members projecting from one side of the track. The endless track comprises two rubber belts 11 in which are embedded a series of cables 13 and transverse metal clamps 14 secured by bolts 22, 23, the central bolts 23 also securing guide members 16. Attached to the bottom of the track is a series of rubber tread members 20, bonded to metal baseplates 21 which are fastened by the bolts 22, 23. Alternate base-plates 21 have vertical extensions 30 at one side to which are bonded rubber impeller blades 31. The belts 11 may be replaced by chains.
