Abstract

[Class 6 (i)] In an agricultural implement hingedly connected to a vertically adjustable carrying device on a tractor, a frame portion carrying the working tool may be set manually in any desired angular position in a vertical plane through the direction of travel independently of the adjustment of the carrying device and of resistance acting upon the working tools. A cultivator frame 32 (Fig. 3) is pivotally attached to a frame 33, 39, 40 which is pivotally connected to links 49 of a hydraulic lifting mechanism. Attached to the said frame is a bell-crank 37, 38 having one end adjustably fixed to a chain 36 and spring 35 attached to the cultivator frame, the other end of the bellcrank being connected by a hand screw 41 to the frame 33, 39, 40. Operation of the hand screw 41 causes a variation in the pressure exerted by the tines. In a modification, (Fig. 1), a plough frame 1 is pivotally connected to an upstanding frame member 8, the two being further connected by a hand screw 16. The frame member 8 and plough frame 1 are pivotally connected to the links 4, 9 of a hydraulic lifting mechanism. If the implement is provided with control or guide members, they are fitted in an extension 20 on member 8. Specification 599,020 is referred to.
