Abstract
598,513. Beach sandals. BARRIE, A. Oct. 31, 1945, No. 28935. [Class 17 (ii)] A beach sandal 1 has spaced slats 2 of wedgeshaped cross section extending transversely from edge to edge at the forepart and heel only of a sole of flexible material. The sole may be attached to the foot by a strap or straps which. pass aroung the foot and ankle, and tied, hooked or buckled together, or a thong, lace or the like may be passed through transverse slots in the thickness of the sole. The sole at the toe end 3 is equal in thickness to the combined thickness of sole and slats and may be of a synthetic resin plastic, wood, leather, rubber, natural or synthetic, composition, or metal such as an aluminium alloy, and may be in sections hinged about transverse axes to facilitate bending and folding for packing &c. Specification 571,250 is referred to.
