598,433. Embossing &c. REBECHINI, E. J., and SCHUTTER CANDY CO. Sept. 3, 1945, No. 22667. [Class 100 (ii)] [Also in Group XVII] In a machine for wrapping-up material such as candy the wrapping material A, which may be in the form of waxed paper or thermoplastic materials such as cellulose, or halides of rubber, is first shaped into the corrugated form shown in Fig. 9, in which grooves e separated by ribs f are provided to receive the strips F of candy. The shaping of the strip A is effected by passage between spring-pressed pivoted bars 30, 32, Fig. 3, provided respectively with recesses and complementary projections which become deeper and narrower in cross section as the strip A advances.
