595,772. Soap-holders. CUSSONS, SONS & CO., Ltd., and DARBYSHIRE, R. April 6, 1945, No. 8615. [Class 18] A holder for a stick or block of shaving soap 5 has an annular part 9 provided with an inwardly directed flange portion 11 of a shape corresponding to the shape of a reduced portion 6 of the soap, the part 11 being embedded in the soap upon relative rotation of the soap and holder. The flanged portion may be formed, as shown, in a removable ring, or may be formed integrally with the base of the holder. The removable ring 11 may be screw-threaded to fit into the base 7, and the base may be screwthreaded or otherwise formed to receive the cover. Alternatively the ring 11 may be screwthreaded to receive the cover. In such a form, an outwardly directed flange receiving the cover and the flanged portion 11 may have faces in the same plane so that the ring may be moulded in a two part mould.
