Abstract
594,133. Weighting drawing rollers. HOWARD & BULLOUGH, Ltd., and HUNTER, W. A. Sept. 15, 1944, No. 17727. [Class 120 (ii)] In weighting mechanisn for drawing rollers of spin ning or like textile mach ines in which the weight o a mass depending between the rollers is applied to the rollers through a device in corporating saddles and a weight-relieving mechan ism, a saddle member 11, Fig. 1, spanning two upper rollers 3, 5, has a bar 9 pivoted to it on which are splined the weight-relieving mechanism and a further saddle 12, both of them being capable of adjustment along ,the bar 9. In a modification, Fig. 3, a front saddle 15 has fixed to it a bar 14 on which are slidably splined a saddle 16 and a block 17 carrying a pivoted bar 19. A weight-relieving mechanism and a saddle 20 are adjustably splined on the bar 19. Grub-screws may be used to fix the slidable parts in position.
