Abstract
594,090. Joints for paper pipes. SODERQVIST, W. O. N. June 25, 1945, No. 16207. [Classes 99 (i) and 99 (ii)] Angle pieces for use with pipes made from paper impregnated with a mixture of water-glass and asbestos powder are formed from four sheets 1, 1, 2, 3, glued together with the same mixture at a, b, c, d and having reinforcing 'strips 4, 5, 6, 7 glued on the outside of the joints ; each sheet consists of a number of layers of the impregnated paper. Fig. 17 shows two straight parts A, B of piping joined by having a box part C made of similar paper wound and glued on while the parts are mounted on a rotating core.
